Please Donate Now and Support our Initiatives

It’s Giving Tuesday today!

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of using social media to support good causes.

Today, we ask the Leadership community to help the Friends of Leadership and Public Service High School reach our goal of $10,000 for the Holiday Giving Campaign.

Your donation will help our school offer more opportunities for our students to thrive.

Your donation will help the Friends sponsor amazing events and programs for our students. Make your donation here.

This Holiday season, we need your support to make Leadership stronger as we slowly regain some sense of “normalcy.”

Although the last 18 months have been challenging, the Friends’ continued to provide vital funding and other support to our school community.

Our theme for this year’s Holiday Giving Campaign is “Let’s Help LEAD Rise!”  And we need your help to do it. Your generous support will enable us to continue to provide our current level of financial support to the school.

You Can Help!

We hope you will consider making a tax-deductible donation either online or by check made payable to “The Friends of Leadership and Public Service High School” Our goal this year is to raise $10,000.  We know this is a difficult year for all of us, and we value every donation—no matter the amount. Every little bit helps!

How students have benefitted from your donations this year?

Students at Leadership benefit from your donations today, tomorrow, and in the future. Let’s come together as a Community to “Help LEAD Rise”!  The Friends can continue to provide funds for vital components of the school because of generous donations from you, including:

  • Providing materials needed to enrich the Morningside Center for Teaching Social Responsibility’s curriculum with activities that strengthen socio-emotional development and restorative practices in the advisory program,
  • Covering the costs of supplies needed to plan multi-cultural events led by our school’s Student Council and the Coordinator of Student Activities team;
  • Funding the school’s online digital platform, SNOsites.com, to launch its student newspaper, The Panther’s Tale.

Each year, The Friends of Leadership and Public Service grant:

  • Full Scholarships to a select number of rising seniors Syracuse University Summer College for High School Students
  • $100 Holiday Gift Cards to families identified as living in temporary housing or homeless shelters
  • Contributing 100% of expenses for SUMMA, our in house mentoring program, the largest of its kind in New York City
